For those among you who are planning to buy Toyota Innova in India but feel its design is quite outdated now, here is a good news. In 2011, Toyota first unveiled the new face-lifted model of Innova at the 2011 Indonesia International Motor Show.

The new model of Toyota Innova at the official launch at Delhi Auto Expo 2012. Exterior Upgrades in New Model of Innova: The face-lifted Innova will get redesigned headlamps that are sweep sideward. The front grille will feature three horizontal slats as against the two slats in the outgoing Innova. The bonnet of the face-lifted Innova will have new crease lines and will make it look more masculine.  The face-lifted Innova will sport a slightly tweaked front with a new grille.
Side Profile of New Innova: The side profile of the refreshed Innova reveal body colored B and C pillars unlike the blackened B and C pillars on the present model. The MPV's rear will feature a new pair of tail lamps with brake lights, turn indicators and reverse fog lamps arranged in a new style.  The side profile of the face-lifted Innova remains same as the present model.
Rear Changes in New Toyota Innova: However, the tail lamps will retain the same shape as in the outgoing Innova. The rear bumper, boot door and chrome slat will all be retained on the refreshed model.  The Innova's boot remains the same and sports foldable rear seats.
Interior Changes in New Model of Toyota Innova: The steering wheel of the new Innova will have a refreshed 4-spoke wheel design. The centre console will get bigger AC vents and a music system with a wide screen.  The new Toyota Innova will sport an LCD display Music System unlike the present model.
The doors will feature wood inserts like the outgoing model. Expect the face-lifted Innova to have the same head, shoulder and leg room space as there is no change in the car's overall dimensions.
 Inside, the new Innova will sport subtle changes like a new steering wheel.
Engine of New Toyota Innova: The present Toyota Innova is powered by a 2.5 litre diesel engine that produces 102 PS of maximum power and 204 Nm of maximum torque while giving a mileage of 12.5 km/litre. The new Toyota Innova will likely be powered by the same 2.5 litre common rail diesel (CRD) motor; however, the company may slightly tweak the power and torque without compromising much on the fuel efficiency. Not to mention, the Toyota Innova is market leader in the MPV segment, and competes with Mahindra Xylo and the Tata Sumo Grande. Innova's strength lies in its car-like drivability, low NVH levels and low maintenance cost. The face-lifted Innova, when launched next year, should help the brand maintain an edge over its rivals. The new Innova will have same engine as on the existing model: the 2.5-litre, D-4D diesel motor making 101 bhp of max power and 204 Nm of max torque and the 2-litre petrol motor making 130 bhp of max power and 181 Nm of max torque.
New Toyota Innova Price
The new Toyota Innova will be available in four variants in India, the base E variant at Rs. 9.4 lakh, the G variant at Rs. 9.95 lakh, the GX variant at Rs. 11.29 lakh and the VX variant at Rs. 13.19 lakh. Prices are for diesel models only. Delivery starts from January 15th onwards.
